Each program is self-contained, practitioner-level, and built for working professionals. Courses are delivered through our learning portal. Enrollment is by application. All certifications are issued under Regent Intelligence Group and carry the RIG credential designation.
PIA-C

Protective Intelligence Analyst Certification
Pull your last report. Read it like a subpoena: because one day someone will.
Built for protective intelligence analysts, threat analysts, security managers, and licensed investigators who perform intelligence functions. If you collect information about people for protective purposes, this certification applies to you. It protects you, your employer, and your client from legal exposure.
Five modules. Graded assessments. 80% threshold throughout. Each module must be passed before the next opens.
Module 1
The intelligence/investigation boundary. Threshold Determination and Three Tests. You cannot work this discipline without understanding this line.
Module 2
Legal framework. FCRA, state PI licensing, privacy law, ECPA. The specific statutes and where they bite.
Module 3
Collection program construction. Framing statement through source register to delivered assessment. PATHS scoring and threat assessment structure.
Module 4
Handoff protocol. Seven triggers that convert an intelligence task to an investigative task. Concurrent action framework and parallel track architecture.
Module 5
Work product. Executive briefings, written assessments, defensibility standards, discoverability, organizational liability.
You leave with the ability to build a legally defensible collection program, score a threat, authorize a predicate, execute a handoff, and produce work product that can stand up to legal scrutiny. PIA-C is the prerequisite for CMI-C.
OIPT-C

Operative Intelligence & Protective Tradecraft Certification
Built for security operators, executive protection agents, security managers, and professionals with backgrounds in the GRS community or equivalent operational environments. A signal course for the GRS professional community specifically: the doctrine, framing, and operational scenarios are calibrated for an audience that has operated in high-threat environments.
Eight modules. 75% threshold: not a lower standard, a different standard for a different discipline. Operational judgment under pressure cannot be assessed the same way legal compliance is.
Module 1
Intelligence-led security operations. What it means to build a security program on intelligence rather than reaction.
Module 2
Surveillance detection and countersurveillance. Behavioral and environmental indicators, SDR construction, countersurveillance program design.
Module 3
Protective intelligence in operational context. Threat assessment driving protective posture. PATHS scoring from the operator's perspective.
Module 4
Source development. Identifying, developing, and managing sources in a protective intelligence context. Operational and legal boundaries. Three Tests applied to HUMINT.
Module 5
Investigative tradecraft and the intelligence handoff. Seven triggers. PAF process. The handoff protocol from the operator's side.
Module 6
Hostile environment operations. Threat recognition, movement security, pattern of life discipline, and communication security in ambient threat environments.
Module 7
Insider threat detection. Behavioral baseline, deviation recognition, and the distinction between insider threat intelligence and investigation.
Module 8
Security program design. Building a security program on an intelligence foundation. Threat environment assessment, resource allocation, SOPs, and program evaluation.
OIPT-C is a standalone credential. PIA-C is not required: but if you hold it, the Three Tests and predicate authorization framework apply here and you will recognize them. Standalone or combined, the operational standard is the same.
CMI-C

Competitive/Market Intelligence Practitioner Certification
Built for analysts and practitioners working in corporate intelligence, competitive research, market intelligence, and opposition research environments. CMI-C covers a separate discipline with a separate legal framework: collection oriented toward a subject who has not triggered the engagement, where the legal framework alone defines what is permissible.
Six content modules plus orientation. 85% threshold: five points above PIA-C because CMI work sits closer to the legal boundary. The consequence of getting this wrong in a live engagement is not a low score. It is legal exposure for you and your client. PIA-C is required first.
Introduction
The CMI discipline: what it is, how it is distinct from protective intelligence and formal investigation, and the legal framework at the engagement level before any collection begins.
Module 1
Predicate authorization and engagement scoping. The CMI Predicate Authorization Form: eight required fields. The engagement scope statement: five required elements. Completed before any collection begins.
Module 2
Legal framework specific to CMI. FCRA, state PI licensing, privacy law, ECPA, and additional statutes governing commercial intelligence work where the subject has not triggered the engagement.
Module 3
Collection methodology and source discipline. Building a CMI collection program. Three Tests applied to competitive/market intelligence context. Label test. Source register discipline.
Module 4
Work product standards. Six-component CMI assessment structure. Framing statement compliance. Defensibility requirements. The Whitfield report as the operational benchmark.
Module 5
The CMI/investigation boundary and handoff protocol. Seven triggers applied to the CMI context. Parallel track architecture. Opposition research as a CMI discipline: what the label test decides.
Module 6
Capstone. A full CMI engagement scenario evaluated against the Whitfield report standard. All five required framing components. All six assessment structure elements. Scored at 85%.

Advanced Executive Protection Certification
For experienced EP practitioners only. Prerequisite: documented field experience. Application and instructor review required before enrollment. This is not an introductory course.
15-day resident course covering advanced protective operations: extreme firearms proficiency across close-quarters, vehicle-borne, and low-light conditions; medical readiness; and integrated counter-surveillance methodology: taught to Regent Intel standard at a dedicated training location.
